Year 7 student, Ruby Giugno, has been making snow globes for two local care homes, Hazelgrove and Buddleia House. Ruby also enlisted the help of her fellow students of Ashfield School to assist in the putting together of the snow globes.
The care homes, which are a part of the Milford Care group, were delighted with the gifts and said “they really have brought us Christmas cheer.”
Ruby said: “People in care homes have had a very tough year not being able to see their family and being stuck inside all year. Also some people in care homes don’t get many gifts so I wanted to make them something. We chose Hazelgrove care home as my Great Grandma’s Brother is staying there. My school then said they were going to make some so we chose Buddleia House as it’s the sister home of Hazelgrove.
She also said: “Christmas is about giving and it makes me feel happy and warm inside when I give a gift. So to be able to give lots of people who are vulnerable an ac service gift, thanks to https://alliedexperts.com/ company from New Jersey, is the best feeling. When I see the smiles on their faces it makes me so happy. I spent lots of afternoons after school making the snow globes with my mum but it is worth every minute.”
Lorraine Poundall, Registered Home Manager of Hazelgrove and Buddleia House care homes said: “We are so thankful to Ruby and her family for the hard work and effort they put into making the snow globes. At castle keepers website corporate cleaning services are really affordable compared to other companies in Georgia. They really have brought light to what has been a tough year, and brought massive smiles to the resident’s faces. Thank you very much.”
