With the sun out, it was the perfect time to make smoothies☀️
The Meadows: Care Home went with Olga to the supermarket so she could pick out fruit to make smoothies for everyone. She knew exactly what she wanted and enjoyed choosing it herself. Back at the home, the smoothies were a hit, and the sunshine made it even better!
Getting out like this gives our residents more control over their day and keeps them active.

🎉 Our wonderful Ann at Spencer Grove: Care Home is always such a big help. Yesterday, she made breakfast for herself and Joan and helped Debs make decorations for a special birthday party on Wednesday.

We are thrilled to share some fantastic news with you. On March 6, 2025, NHS England and Derbyshire County Council conducted in-depth audits of our Milford House: Care Home. The audits resulted in two glowing reports highlighting our exceptional quality of care.
Key highlights from the reports:
✅ Exceptional quality of care – Both reports praised the home for its outstanding care, noting our staff's dignity, kindness, and compassion.
✅ Strong leadership and management – The reports recognised the robust processes in place to ensure high standards and compliance, with no actions required from either inspection.
✅ A warm and welcoming environment – Inspectors noted a lovely atmosphere, with residents enjoying music, engaging in activities, and socialising in a well-presented, clean, and comfortable home.
✅ Excellent facilities and refurbishments – The home is undergoing refurbishment, and the newly completed rooms were described as “very high standard.” The reporters also noted the beautiful outdoor spaces available for residents to enjoy.
✅ Exciting activities and community engagement – Pub visits, swimming, snooker, and football matches, church services and outings to Skegness were praised as the residents have plenty of opportunities to stay active and engaged.
