Our dementia-led Market Hall
Welcome to our Market Hall, which includes a pub, shop, post office, travel agent, and nursery. It was purpose-built to help people with dementia feel at home. The whole setup is about sparking memories, keeping folks independent, and making life way more fulfilling than the usual care home routine.

Meet the Care Home Manager
Jim Watt
I started with Milford Care in April 2011 as a Care Assistant and then worked hard to progress within the company to reach my current role of Home Manager at Ashbourne Lodge, a position I have held since the Home opened in 2014.
I find my job so rewarding and would not change it for the world as here at Ashbourne Lodge my team and I strive to make a difference to everyone who comes to stay with us. It is my passion to give good quality person-centred care, and this is an ethos which is embedded through the entire team at Ashbourne Lodge.

🏐 Serving Up Some Fun at Ashbourne Lodge! 🏐
There was a healthy dose of friendly competition at Ashbourne Lodge this week as residents took part in a lively game of seated volleyball. With everyone eager to keep the ball in play and score points for their team, the game quickly became a firm favourite!
Adding an extra touch of pride to the activity, the volleyball net was created by our residents themselves, making the game even more meaningful.
In true Montessori spirit, activities like this encourage movement, teamwork, social connection and a sense of achievement, all while having plenty of fun along the way.
