Meet Your Care Home Manager

Lorraine Poundall
Home Manager
I have worked in care for the elderly for over 30 years, starting as a care assistant and working my way up to Registered Manager over the years. In this time I have worked in various settings, including residential and day care, affording me a good insight into all aspects of care. My work is my passion – it’s more than a job, it’s a way of life. I feel most privileged to be able to make a difference in people’s everyday lives. Here at Hazelgrove, we want to create a “home from home” where residents, their families and staff live and work together in a family environment.

Hi everyone,
As of yesterday, it’s been widely reported in the media about visiting care homes. We have not received any formal guidance from the UK Government or the Director of Public Health regarding relatives visiting their loved ones in care homes. We are sure there will be more information today at 7pm in the Prime Minister's national address. However, we are working on keeping our potential visits as safe and secure as possible, and for this we will need your patience and valued support.
We will let you know when visits will be possible via email and on Facebook.
Thank you and as always, stay safe.

We have decided to follow the BBC Radio Derby campaign and spread positivity by placing daffodils in the window, around our home and share with others.
Smile and spread the happiness, as with the coming of Spring we also hope the coming of the vaccine brings hope and new beginnings🌼 #carehome #daffodils #BBCRadioDerby ... See MoreSee Less
