Milford House
Milford, Derbyshire

Recently refurbished, Milford House offers exceptional care within a beautiful grade II listed Georgian manor house close to Duffield and Belper
Previously the country residence of the pioneering industrialist Jedediah Strutt, Milford House first opened its doors as a Care Home over 30 years ago.
Today, its distinct Georgian elegance is coupled with a warm and friendly atmosphere and the Home has recently benefited from a contemporary and chic refurbishment, including the installation of some luxury en-suite bedrooms.
Facilities at Milford House and adjoining Coach House include:
- Beautifully decorated communal areas
- Sunny, south-facing conservatory with views over a well-established, traditional country garden
- Variety of bedrooms, some with en-suite facilities
- Hairdressing Salon
- Pre-bookable dedicated respite/short stay room
- Wifi available throughout the Home.
Meet Your Care Home Manager

Sheila Barwick
Home Manager
Having worked in elderly care for over 30 years, I began my career as a registered nurse, then became a deputy manager, working at Milford House from 1991 to 2000. I re-joined the Milford Care family in 2011 as the proud Registered Home Manager of Milford House.
My ambition is to ensure that everyone who lives and works at Milford House feels part of our community, and that every voice is heard.
My three children regularly visited Milford House as they were growing up, and now my two beautiful granddaughters visit regularly also, continuing the family tradition, and promoting the Milford Care philosophy of family run homes.

An afternoon at the flicks 🎬🎞
The rustling sound of popcorn 🍿 filled the room, as we sat back and watched an all time classic, Dirty Dancing 💃🏼 ’Nobody puts baby in the corner’! ⭐️
Dot did a great job helping run the ticket booth, giving everyone a cinema ticket and helped to give out sweets & treats 🤩
