Offering nursing care at Rose Court and residential care at Lavender Court, The Meadows has a wonderful homely environment and is perfectly located for access to the local shops and amenities, with excellent public transport links.
The Meadows has achieved the Derbyshire Dementia Standards Award, which recognises the philosophy of the home to deliver “person-centred” care, delivered by well-trained and supported staff with the aim of ‘bringing out the best in everybody’.

- Variety of single and companion bedrooms, some with en-suite facilities

Our Montessori Way Of Life
Our Montessori way of life is at the heart of everything we do. We support our residents to be as independent as possible and look for ways to ensure a person can do something using positive risk-taking.
We focus on a residents’ strengths and abilities, their life story and experiences and use these to help them find purpose and feel valued in their day to day life with us. We encourage residents to partake in meaningful roles, such as helping with household chores, and activities that they enjoy which may trigger fond memories and engage their senses, including doing art, doing a puzzle, playing a game, chair based exercising, baking a cake or writing a letter. All of these pleasurable hobbies boost confidence and self-esteem and will be designed to match the person’s abilities.

Jenna Eaton has recently taken on the role of Home Manager at The Meadows after serving as Deputy Manager for many years.
With extensive knowledge of the home, a genuine passion for delivering outstanding care, and a warm, approachable nature, Jenna is dedicated to ensuring every resident feels safe, valued, and supported. Having built strong relationships with residents, families, and colleagues over the years, she is committed to maintaining the welcoming, person-centred culture that makes The Meadows such a special place to call home. Families can feel reassured that their loved ones are in experienced, compassionate, and capable hands.

We’re busy preparing for The Meadows Christmas Fair on Saturday 21st November, and we’d love a little help from our wonderful local community! ❤️
We’re looking for donations of prizes for our Christmas Raffle, whether that’s a gift, voucher, hamper or something a little different. Any contribution, big or small, would be so gratefully received! 🎁

🎃🍬 A Little Piñata Pandemonium! 👻
Our Halloween celebrations wouldn’t have been complete without a little piñata fun!
Residents and staff alike got involved, taking turns to try their luck at breaking open the piñata, with plenty of excitement, determination and some rather enthusiastic swings! 😂🧡
