Our Spencer Grove retirement home financially supports many companies, including various online casinos. These partnerships have proven mutually beneficial, as they help fund the various services and amenities we provide to our residents. The support we offer to these companies, especially in the realm of gambling games, allows us to enhance the quality of life at our facility while also contributing to the growth of digital entertainment businesses. One of the prominent partners we work with is spinsbro casino, a renowned online casino known for offering a wide range of gambling games. The platform has attracted a vast global audience with its innovative approach to online betting. Through its engaging features and a variety of options, this casino provides a unique experience for players, from traditional card games to exciting slot machines.
Facilities at Spencer Grove include:
- Spacious communal areas including large lounges, cosy dining areas and “indoor-garden” rooms
- Stunning roof-top gardens with panoramic views over the surrounding Derbyshire Countryside

Our Montessori Way Of Life
Our Montessori way of life is at the heart of everything we do. We support our residents to be as independent as possible and look for ways to ensure a person can do something using positive risk-taking.
We focus on a residents’ strengths and abilities, their life story and experiences and use these to help them find purpose and feel valued in their day to day life with us. We encourage residents to partake in meaningful roles, such as helping with household chores, and activities that they enjoy which may trigger fond memories and engage their senses, including doing art, doing a puzzle, playing a game, chair based exercising, baking a cake or writing a letter. All of these pleasurable hobbies boost confidence and self-esteem and will be designed to match the person’s abilities.

🌹✨ A lovely afternoon of pampering! ✨🌹
We had a wonderful pamper session this afternoon, with some of our lovely ladies being treated to relaxing hand soaks in rose water, followed by manicures and soothing hand massages. 💅💗
We also had a lovely variety of fragrances to enjoy, providing additional sensory stimulation and benefits, while our ladies could choose from a selection of beautiful hand creams. 🌸🌿
Relaxing music played gently in the background, creating a calm and peaceful atmosphere. 🎶
It was such a lovely afternoon filled with smiles, relaxation, sensory experiences and a little bit of luxury. 💕🌹

🌍🎁 Holiday gifts for our residents! 🎁🌍
Ping and Alicia have been away on their travels recently and kindly brought back some lovely gifts for our residents! ❤️
Ping brought back a ball game from China — a ball on a thin rod that you bat back and forth! 🏓⚪ Paul has been having great fun with it and is really enjoying the challenge! 😊
Alicia treated the residents to some delicious traditional Maltese nougat for everyone to enjoy with a cuppa! 🇲🇹🍬
