Purpose of the position;
Have responsibility for all Nursing aspects of the daily operation of care delivery ensuring that it is in keeping with Milford Care’s ethos and that;

b) Care Plans are written with a person centred focus and are reflective of all aspects of their care.

d) The NMC Code of Conduct is adhered to at all times. 


Responsibilities:


Professional and Management:
Support the Clinical Lead and Registered Manager in order to ensure that the home complies with relevant regulations and legislations
Support the Clinical Lead and Registered manager with visits from the CQC, NCC/DCC, CCG and other regulatory/inspecting bodies, and organise and plan agreed follow ups in regards to nursing and any care matters in the home. 
Leading a team of Care Assistant’s on shift to ensure that residents receive a high quality of care in a timely and efficient manner. 


Clinical:
Responsible for liaising / discussing and agreeing clinical care with the Clinical Lead. 
To control and give any medication as prescribed with proper monitoring of the drug, dose, time, route and person to whom it is given, following the medication Policy and Procedure laid out in the Quality manual and clinical guidelines
Ensure medication documentation is completed with 100% accuracy at all times. 
Liaise with residents and their next of kin and ensure that they are informed of any changes to health/condition and kept abreast of any accidents or incidents. 


Staffing:
Support the Clinical Lead / Registered Manager in ensuring that Care Staff supervisions, performance appraisals and assessments are carried out and followed up on in order to identify and promote appropriate training and/or individual achievement requirements. 
Mentor new Nurses, Care Assistants and Care Leaders as required 
Ensure that any staffing issues ate dealt with by following the policies and procedures 
Assist in identifying and assessing the staffing requirements to meet service user needs. 


Training;
Attend appropriate training as requested by the Clinical Lead, Registered manager or Nurse Quality Manager. 
Actively engage in identifying your own training/developmental needs and communicating these to the Clinical Lead, Registered Manager or Nurse Quality Manager. 


Administrative;
To complete Nurse checklists (AM, PM and Night) and report any issues to Clinical Lead/Registered manager


Quality assurance;
Have regular discussions with the Clinical Lead  /Registered Manager to discuss any management Nursing/Clinical matters
Continually oversee and monitor all Care and Nursing aspects of the running of the home to ensure that high quality care standards are maintained at all times
Promote and uphold the home’s policies and procedures
Ensure that any complaints received either from external sources or from within the home are relayed to the Registered Manager immediately and take necessary actions as required


Care planning; 
Ensure the Care Plans are evaluated monthly before the 20th of the month and are up to date and in good reflection of the care needs to each individual resident. 
Ensure proper, complete, legible and accurate records regarding the residents are maintained and continually updated. 


This is a night role averaging 35 hours weekly, consisting of 3 night shifts one week and 4 the next. 

 

Pay rate: £17.40 per hour

We are looking for an experienced Administration Manager to take charge of the administration of our busy home. No two days will ever be the same – your responsibilities will range from meeting and greeting visitors to auditing the work of the Housekeeping or Kitchen teams, keeping documentation in order, interviewing candidates for job roles within the home, taking meeting minutes, supporting the Registered Manager in leading the ancillary staff teams, and so on.

Salary: £10.25 /hour

We are looking for an experienced Clinical Lead nurse to work 23 hours weekly. Our main priority for this job role is to find a caring, passionate and committed Registered Nurse to share the Clinical Lead responsibilities. Duties include:

  • Have clinical responsibility and take clinical lead for all nursing aspects of the Home, in keeping with the style and service as laid down by the senior management.
  • Provision of clinical leadership, quality assurance and advice to the Registered Manager (who has continuing responsibility for the safe delivery of care)
  • Take a lead role in the care for residents assessed with nursing needs, and with reference to the NICE guidelines, liaise and agree with the Registered Manager on nursing matters
  • Work in partnership with the Registered Manager to ensure that communication in all aspects of the residents care, staffing issues and day to day operations of the homes are effectively managed
  • Carry out pre-admission assessment for complex nursing enquiries in the absence/or at her request of Nurse Quality Manager.
  • Ensure that Care Plans are thoroughly prepared, in consultation with each Resident or Relative and all other persons with a relevant input e.g. GP, Care Manager, in order to meet the Resident’s individual needs.

This is a part time role of 23 hours per week, including weekends and bank holidays.

About the role:

Care Assistants are required to tend to resident’s needs throughout the day and night. This will include working as a team to respond to call bells, assist residents with personal care, repositioning and their nutritional requirements and offering comfort and companionship to residents. As a Mobile Care Assistant, you may be called to work at any of the Milford Care homes in Milford, Alfreton, Belper, Nottingham or Ashbourne. You will be guaranteed a set number of hours monthly (equivalent to a full-time or a part-time role dependent on your wishes), and will have the opportunity to pick up additional work if you wish.
