We’re seeking to recruit some great new carers to support our residents throughout the day and night. As a residential and nursing home, we provide a range of care and support services for our older residents, some of whom have dementia.

Your duties will be varied, and no two days will be the same. Our residents are individuals and they all deserve to be treated as such; however, as a general guide, your duties will include working as a team to respond to call bells, assisting residents with personal care, repositioning and their nutritional requirements, and offering comfort and companionship. We’re Spencer Grove Care Home, a thriving care home in the heart of Belper. We have an excellent local reputation and were rated ‘Good’ by the Care Quality Commission. Our main priority for this job role is to find a caring and committed Registered Nurse to cover our night shifts, able to demonstrate good clinical skills and a passion for caring for Older Adults. Previous experience of working in a Care Home or related setting is preferable, but not essential. Excellent communication skills – both verbally and in writing, are key qualities, as is the ability to lead and work as part of a team. Applicants must be qualified nurses with a valid UK PIN.

Your duties will be varied, and no two nights will be the same. Our residents are individuals and they all deserve to be treated as such; however, as a general guide, you will be responsible for ensuring that:

  • All aspects of care afforded to each Resident is of the highest quality and is person centred reflecting their individual needs and preferences
  • Care Plans are written with a person centred focus and are reflective of all aspects of their care
  • The Group’s excellent reputation for high quality care is maintained and promoted in the local community
  • The NMC Code of Conduct is adhered to at all times

Duties include:

  • Support the Clinical Lead and Registered Manager in order to ensure that the Home complies with relevant regulations and legislation’s;
  • Lead a team of Care Assistants on shift to ensure that residents receive a high quality of care in a timely and efficient manner.
  • Control and give any medication as prescribed with proper monitoring of the drug, dose, time, route and person to whom it is given, following the Medication Policy and Procedure laid out in the Quality Manual and clinical guidelines and completing necessary documentation.
  • Take the lead role of a team of Care Assistants on the night shift.
  • Support the Clinical Lead/Registered Manager in ensuring that care staff supervisions, performance appraisals and assessments are carried out and followed up on in order to identify and promote appropriate training and/or individual achievement requirements
  • Mentor new nurses, care assistants and care leaders as required
  • Ensure that any staffing issues are dealt with by following the policies and procedures
  • Complete nurse checklists (Night) and report any issues to Clinical Lead / Registered Manager
  • Liaise with the Registered Manager on any all matters concerning the running of the Home which need their attention or approval
  • Ensure all fire checks are completed in accordance with the daily fire checklist and any issues brought to the immediate attention of the Registered Manager.

This is a full time role, including weekends and bank holidays.

Salary: £17.85 /hour

Our main priority for this job role is to find a reliable, efficient, professional and kind Head Housekeeper to take the lead of our spectacular Domestic team. You will need excellent leadership and time management skills, and previous experience in a Domestic role will be essential.

As a residential and nursing home, we provide a range of care and support services for our older residents, some of whom have dementia. Your duties will be varied, and no two days will be the same. Our residents are individuals and they all deserve to be treated as such; however, as a general guide, your duties will include managing your team to keep the home sparkly clean and fresh. This includes cleaning residents’ bedrooms, common areas, bathrooms etc. You will be required to adhere to a rigorous cleaning schedule to ensure highest standards of cleanliness and infection control are achieved. Job Summary

We are looking for flexible and committed people who can contribute to our already exceptional team. As a Mobile Care Assistant, you will support the Care teams in the five Milford Care homes across Derbyshire and Nottinghamshire by helping cover staff absences, holidays etc. If you are hardworking, a team player and can deliver award-winning care, then we want to hear from you.

About you:

You must be a compassionate and caring person with a passion for caring for older adults. You must be reliable and dependable, and committed to making a difference to other people’s lives. Your lifestyle must allow for a good level of flexibility as you may be called to work at any of the Milford Care homes in Milford, Alfreton, Belper, Hucknall or Ashbourne on a short notice. Having your own car and a clean driving license is useful because of the nature of the role.

About the role:

Care Assistants are required to tend to resident’s needs throughout the day and night. This will include working as a team to respond to call bells, assist residents with personal care, repositioning and their nutritional requirements and offering comfort and companionship to residents. As a Mobile Care Assistant, you may be called to work at any of the Milford Care homes in Milford, Alfreton, Belper, Nottingham or Ashbourne. You will be guaranteed a set number of hours monthly (equivalent to a full-time or a part-time role dependent on your wishes), and will have the opportunity to pick up additional work if you wish.
