“I never thought I’d get the chance to meet my Nottingham Forest heroes.” Meet Beverly.

In May 2015, Beverly embarked on a new chapter of her life as she moved to Hazelgrove Care Home. Since moving in, Beverley has become a fundamental part of the Hazelgrove family, bringing smiles and laughter to the team and residents each day. Here’s how Beverley fulfilled one of her life’s dreams.

Beverly’s biggest passion had always been football, and her heart belonged to Nottingham Forest Football Club. For years, she had cherished the dream of visiting the club she loved, and the dedicated staff at Hazelgrove were determined to make her dream come true.

Hazelgrove care home is no stranger to making dreams a reality for its residents. It’s a place where the well-being and happiness of those under its care are paramount, and this commitment often goes above and beyond the call of duty.

With the support of Nottingham Forest Football Club the 19th of October 2023 became a day to remember. Beverly had the privilege of visiting the club, walking through the grounds that had been the backdrop to countless football memories.

Beverly also had the incredible opportunity to meet with the Nottingham Forest manager, Steve Cooper. The moment was deeply touching. Steve, known for his dedication to the team and its supporters, understood the significance of this moment for Beverly. As a token of his appreciation and to forever mark this special day, he gifted her a Nottingham Forest t-shirt, signed by none other than himself.

The look of joy and gratitude on Beverly’s face was great, and it was a heart-warming reminder that dreams do become a reality when devoted staff members are willing to go above and beyond to fulfil the dreams of the residents they care for. Hazelgrove Care Home’s commitment to their residents extends far beyond the basics of care; it’s about fostering a sense of belonging and making cherished dreams come true.
