Job Summary

We are looking for flexible and committed people who can contribute to our already exceptional team. As a Mobile Care Assistant, you will support the Care teams in the five Milford Care homes across Derbyshire and Nottinghamshire by helping cover staff absences, holidays etc. If you are hardworking, a team player and can deliver award-winning care, then we want to hear from you.

About you:

You must be a compassionate and caring person with a passion for caring for older adults. You must be reliable and dependable, and committed to making a difference to other people’s lives. Your lifestyle must allow for a good level of flexibility as you may be called to work at any of the Milford Care homes in Milford, Alfreton, Belper, Hucknall or Ashbourne on a short notice. Having your own car and a clean driving license is useful because of the nature of the role.

About the role:

Care Assistants are required to tend to resident’s needs throughout the day and night. This will include working as a team to respond to call bells, assist residents with personal care, repositioning and their nutritional requirements and offering comfort and companionship to residents. As a Mobile Care Assistant, you may be called to work at any of the Milford Care homes in Milford, Alfreton, Belper, Nottingham or Ashbourne. You will be guaranteed a set number of hours monthly (equivalent to a full-time or a part-time role dependent on your wishes), and will have the opportunity to pick up additional work if you wish.

Domiciliary Care Worker (Late Evening Shift)

We are looking for a Domiciliary Carer for 14 hours per week (9pm till 11pm) to work to both in the Care Home and the Care Suites to provide the following:-

  • To provide Personal Care and Assist with nighttime routines
  • To assist the Care Home with providing Personal Care and nighttime routines
  • To undertake some light cleaning duties when and where necessary

The candidate should have at least 1 years of care experience and have worked in either a Care Home or in the community previously.

Job Type: Part-time

Salary: £8.15 /hour

Domiciliary Care Worker 

We are looking for someone who has preferably been working within this industry before and has a least 1 years care experience to undertake the following:-

  • To assist with basic food prep
  • To undertake light domestic duties
  • To assist with personal care

This may also include some outings/shopping

This will be to attend calls (this will be a minimum of 2 Hours per day, over 7 days per week)

Job Type: Part-time

Salary: £7.98 to £8.15 /hour

Housekeeping Assistant

  • To ensure that the home is cleaned and maintained to the high standard set by the Management.
  • To allocated cleaning schedules for each domestic assistance and to monitor the quality and thoroughness of the work.
  • To control the usage of cleaning materials and to minimise wastage.
  • To ensure that the cleaning/stock room is maintained in a clean, neat & tidy condition at all times.
  • To ensure that all domestic staff are aware of and adhere to the Health & Safety standards and also the COSHH regulations as set out in Section 262 of the Homes Quality Manual.
  • To take part in staff meetings when necessary.
  • To undergo staff training as required, and to teach other domestic staff all aspects of in housecleaning methods, and update them of any relevant changes in Health & safety standards and COSHH regulations.
  • To be aware of, and instigate Health & Safety and COSHH procedures.
  • To maintain confidentiality regarding all aspects of care and management of the home.
  • To report any malfunction of equipment or fittings that require maintenance or cannot be kept to standard through normal cleaning procedures to the Manager.
  • To perform any other such reasonable duties as may be required.

Job Type: Full-time

Salary: £7.38 to £7.98 /hour
